Belgian pop funk soul diva Caro Lee releases her debut single "Heartbeat" as the first single of the album "The Funk City Jam" on October 17th 2023.
This song is a heartfelt funky 80’s pop track, influenced by artists like Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul, Sheila E., etc… and declares her profound love for pop music. It features a powerful and emotional vocal performance by singer Caroline Clement (Tamira Jay, Echo City Waves, Mydonna) accompanied by typical synth pop grooves, sounds and a driving dance rhythm.
The album scheduled for 2024 and this first song explores Caro Lee’s early influences. (Rick James, Prince, The Pointer Sisters, Marvin Gaye, ...)
In the 90's Caroline Clement was known as Tamira Jay in the Eurodance scene.
Today she's the front lady of Madonna tribute band "Mydonna". She's also the drummer/singer of new wave classics tribute band "Echo City Waves" as well as the lead singer of upcoming Blondie tribute band "Parallel Lines".
With Caro Lee and The Funk City Jam she returns to her roots bringing you funky 80's inspired pop music.
